Jennifer Weinhart has over ten years of experience in public policy in both the private sector and government, working in advocacy and on Capitol Hill. Through Jennifer’s experience, she has developed a deep understanding of tax policy and strategic advocacy. She is recognized for her ability to drive effective policy solutions through complex legislative and regulatory environments.
Prior to joining the Global Business Alliance as Director of Tax Policy, Jennifer served as the Senior Policy Advisor for Engine, representing technology startup interests in tax policy and capital formation. In this role, she worked to expand access to the startup ecosystem throughout the country and was co-lead of the Innovator Alliance to advocate for smart tax policy to drive the innovation economy, enabling startups to conduct R&D and incentivize hiring and investment.
Jennifer spent almost six years on Capitol Hill, first joining the office of Chairman Kevin Brady in his personal office, followed by several years as the Senior Professional Policy Staffer at the Republican Study Committee (RSC), covering the financial services and judiciary portfolios for one of the largest caucuses in Congress. While at the RSC, Jennifer deepened her policy knowledge, regularly briefing members and staff on pending legislation, led countless panels and directed a task force dedicated to regulatory reform.
Jennifer was born outside of Chicago, IL, but after spending nearly a decade in New Orleans, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French and Juris Doctor from Tulane University, she considers herself an honorary New Orleanian. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys cooking, running Disney races and spending time with her husband and three children.
