Paul Hoogsteden is Senior Tax Director for Novo Nordisk in North America. At Novo Nordisk, Paul is responsible for all U.S. and Canadian tax matters. In his position since 2006, Paul provides regional oversight and leadership to assist Novo Nordisk in obtaining a competitive corporate tax level in a responsible way. His tax responsibilities include transfer pricing, global governance, planning, incentive negotiations, accounting for income taxes, compliance and matters of controversy.
Before joining Novo Nordisk, Paul worked for Johnson and Johnson, Hoechst Corporation and The Liposome Co., Inc. in a range of Corporate Tax positions of increasing responsibility. He also worked for Ernst & Young LLP servicing inbound and outbound clients in a variety of industries. Paul began his career at Arthur Andersen. He received BS in Business Administration from Seton Hall University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Paul is married, has two children and lives in Princeton Junction, New Jersey.
