Elizabeth Tong is the Senior Vice President, Tax for L’Oréal USA, Inc., a subsidiary of L’Oréal SA, Paris, France. L’Oréal is the world’s leading player in the beauty sector, with over 110 years in the industry, employing 87,400 employees worldwide. L’Oréal has a broad portfolio of 37 international brands, a balanced geographical footprint and sales across all distribution networks. In this role, Elizabeth is responsible for the company’s tax strategy, planning and analysis, tax compliance, tax reporting, tax planning with respect to mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, and management of tax controversies with respect to the North America Zone.
Prior to joining L’Oréal, Elizabeth began her career practicing tax law at White & Case LLP in New York, and thereafter at Finn Dixon & Herling LLP in Connecticut. Most recently, Elizabeth spent 11 years at Diageo North America, Inc., where she was VP Tax, Americas, responsible for managing the tax functions for North America and Latin America.
Elizabeth holds a B.A. in French and Political Science from Lehigh University, and J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Global Business Alliance (GBA) and joined the GBA’s Executive Committee as Secretary and Treasurer in January 2024.
Elizabeth lives in Stamford, Connecticut, with her husband and three children.
