Aaron Taylor serves as the Vice President of Tax and Trade for GBA. In this role, Aaron meets with federal officials in both Congress and the executive branch to advocate on tax and trade issues on behalf of GBA’s members. Aaron brings over a decade of experience in leading tax policy and lobbying efforts.
Aaron started his policy career working for Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) on the Senate Finance Committee tax team and later joined Sen. Deb Fischer (R-NE), managing her economic portfolio, including tax and trade policy. He also served on the Joint Select Committee for Deficit Reduction, tasked with reducing the nation’s deficit. In early 2016, Aaron joined Grant Thornton, LLP, as director of government affairs, leading the firm’s effort to secure equitable tax reform for businesses in the U.S.
Aaron completed his MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology and his undergrad from the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business. He currently lives in Virginia with his wife and three children.
