Jeff Werner is Vice President of Corporate & Government Affairs at Panasonic Corporation of North America. In this role, Jeff leads the company’s strategic direction in navigating the legislative and regulatory processes at all levels of government. He is responsible for the company’s government and public affairs office in Washington, D.C., as well as the environmental and product safety compliance units at headquarters in Newark, N.J.
Since joining Panasonic, Jeff works to advance the company’s public policy strategy to foster the century-old mission of contributing to society through its products and solutions, and its commitment as a government and community partner. Jeff’s extensive experience in international relations and government affairs helps position Panasonic for growth by developing and strengthening our relationships with governments in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to Panasonic, Jeff served as general manager for international and public policy in Daimler’s external affairs office in Washington, D.C., managing the company’s international government affairs for U.S., Mexico and Canada. He also worked as executive director of the Transatlantic Business Dialogue’s (TABD) U.S. Office from 2003 to 2005.
Jeff currently serves on the boards of the Panasonic Foundation, the Global Business Alliance, the Consumer Electronics
Association’s Video Board, the US Association of Former Members of Congress Advisory Board, and Cultural Tourism D.C., a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Hobart College and a master’s degree in European politics from the London School of Economics.
He lives in Washington, DC with his wife Claudia.
