As Vice President of State Government Affairs at the Global Business Alliance (GBA), Kelsey Johnson leads the organization’s advocacy strategy across all 50 states. With more than two decades of experience in government affairs, public policy and association leadership, she develops and executes legislative engagement campaigns, coalition strategies and grassroots initiatives focused on emerging state policy issues.
Before joining GBA, Kelsey served as Vice President of State Government Affairs at the Personal Care Products Council, President of the Iron Mining Association of Minnesota and Director of State Affairs at the Grocery Manufacturers Association, now the Consumer Brands Association. Across these roles, she led multi-state advocacy efforts, coalition building and stakeholder engagement on complex policy and regulatory issues.
Kelsey earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership from St. Catherine University and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy.
Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys spending time on the water as a former state champion water skier and exploring the outdoors with her dog, Cricket.
