Kevin Klein

Kevin Klein serves as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs at the Global Business Alliance (GBA), bringing nearly 20 years of experience in government affairs, public policy and regulatory strategy. With a distinguished career spanning industry and advocacy, Kevin is recognized for his ability to navigate complex legislative and regulatory landscapes and deliver impactful policy outcomes across issue areas such as tax, trade, economic development, automotive and technology.

Before rejoining GBA, Kevin led the global government affairs function at Aptiv PLC, a GBA member company. In this role, he advanced critical international trade, tax, and automotive policy initiatives while spearheading efforts in sustainability, artificial intelligence, and data security. His earlier tenure at GBA included directing advocacy efforts on federal tax and trade policies, where he successfully represented member companies before the U.S. Treasury, Congress and several regulatory agencies.

Kevin’s career also includes key leadership roles at Volvo Group North America and K&L Gates LLP, where he specialized in economic development, tax incentives, and international trade. Additionally, his eight years on Capitol Hill equipped him with a deep understanding of legislative processes and the ability to build strategic alliances to advance policy goals.

Kevin holds a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Davidson College. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys camping, hiking and skiing with his wife and four children.
