In 2015 Kevin Sherfey assumed the role of Vice President of Tax & Treasury for BAE Systems, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s tax strategy, tax planning and analysis, tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, structuring and planning with respect to merger and acquisitions, negotiations and settlement of tax controversies and liaison to the UK group tax department.
Prior to joining BAE Systems, Kevin was Chief Financial Officer at Airbus Group, Inc. with responsibility for the company’s full range of financial and accounting activities.
Kevin holds a master’s degree in taxation from American University’s Kogod School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Radford University. Kevin has held various tax management positions including six years at the public accounting firm KPMG LLP and was a senior tax accountant at Mobil Oil Corporation (ExxonMobil) prior to that.
Kevin is a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia and is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, Virginia Society of CPA’s, and the Tax Executives Institute. Kevin is an executive committee member of Radford University’s Davis College of business and economics advisory council and also serves as a board member for the Global Business Alliance (GBA). In January 2022, Kevin was nominated and appointed as Chairman of GBA’s Tax Committee.
Kevin enjoys sailing and bicycling and lives in Fairfax County, Virginia with his wife and their four children.
