Matt Jackson serves as Director of Government Affairs for the Global Business Alliance (GBA). In this role, he helps drive GBA’s proactive advocacy agenda by building and maintaining relationships with officials in Congress and the Executive branch, leading congressional caucus engagement and managing the CEO Leadership Council and other GBA-led advocacy initiatives.
Matt comes to GBA after nearly six years working in Congress, most recently as Chief of Staff for Rep. Carolyn Bourdeaux (D-GA). During his time with Rep. Bourdeaux, Matt handled a broad portfolio of issues and was responsible for her work as a member of the Blue Dog Coalition, New Democrat Coalition and the Problem Solvers Caucus. Matt also served as Rep. Bourdeaux’s Legislative Director and previously worked in the offices of Rep. Harley Rouda (D-CA) and Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA).
Matt is a native of Alexandria, Virginia, and earned his B.A. in Political Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and is a lifelong D.C. sports fan.
