Events and Programs Internship

The Global Business Alliance (GBA) is seeking students interested in political science, foreign or public policy, economics, or communications.

The Global Business Alliance (GBA) ensures that policymakers at the federal, state and local levels understand the critical role that foreign direct investment (FDI) plays in America’s economy. GBA advocates for fair, non-discriminatory treatment of international companies and promotes policies that will encourage them to establish U.S. operations, which in turn increases American employment and U.S. economic growth.

  • Assist Events Team with all in-person and virtual event planning and execution:
  • -Tracking RSVPs, setting up and archiving events in Cvent
    -Supporting recurring policy call logistics via WebEx
    -Recording and logging attendance for all events to analyze membership engagement
  • Assist with the planning of GBA’s Annual Dinner gala:
  • -Monitoring swag bag donations and preparing descriptions for final program
    -Pulling sponsor reports from survey portal and entering details into spreadsheet
    -Providing registration support in advance and onsite at the event
  • Apply in July and August for our Fall Internships
  • Fall 2023 (Sept – Dec)
  • MUST be available in-person M-F from Nov 27- Dec 7 for annual gala prep and onsite event
  • up to 20 hours per week
  • $17 per hour

This internship is open to college college junior, senior or graduate students with excellent organizational, research and writing skills with Microsoft Office proficiency. Customer relationship/association management software skills, particularly experience using Salesforce and Cvent, are a plus! This is a partially remote position; you will be provided a GBA laptop for working remotely but will be required to be able to work in the GBA office on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays.
