Events & Programs Internship

GBA is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student interested in events and programming, for its fall 2026 Events & Programs Internships. The internship is an excellent way for inquisitive students interested in customer relationships and event management to gain valuable experience while advancing their educational pursuits. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Events Team with all in-person and virtual event planning and execution including,
    • Tracking RSVPs, setting up, and archiving events in the Swoogo platform
    • Supporting recurring policy call logistics via Zoom
    • Assist with designing marketing materials and other collateral in Canva
    • Providing registration support in advance and onsite at GAnnual Dinner in Washington DC on December 2

Timeframe and Compensation:

  • Apply now for the following terms:
  • Fall 2026: September-December, up to 20 hours per week
  • Spring 2027: January-April, up to 20 hours per week
  • $$17.95 per hour

Qualifications & Requirements

This internship is open to college juniors, seniors, graduate students, or recent graduates with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) and a demonstrated interest in communications, journalism, political science, economics or public policy. Experience in graphic design, web video production and editorial writing is preferred for the position. This is a partially remote position; you will be provided a GBA laptop for working remotely but will be required to be able to work in the GBA office on Mondays, Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays.

    -Recording and logging attendance for all events to analyze membership engagement
  • Assist with the planning of GBA’s Annual Dinner gala:
  • -Monitoring swag bag donations and preparing descriptions for final program
    -Pulling sponsor reports from survey portal and entering details into spreadsheet
    -Providing registration support in advance and onsite at the event
  • Apply now for the following terms:
  • Spring: January-April, up to 20 hours per week
  • Summer: May-August, up to 30 hours per week Fall: September-December, up to 20 hours per week $17.50 per hour

This internship is open to college college junior, senior or graduate students with excellent organizational, research and writing skills with Microsoft Office proficiency. Customer relationship/association management software skills, particularly experience using Salesforce and Cvent, are a plus! This is a partially remote position; you will be provided a GBA laptop for working remotely but will be required to be able to work in the GBA office on Mondays, Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays.
