McLernon: Senate’s Failure to Pass Tax Bill Is ‘Missed Opportunity’

Says Legislation Would Increase U.S. Economic Competitiveness

WASHINGTON – Nancy McLernon, president and CEO of the Global Business Alliance (GBA), released the following statement in response to the U.S. Senate failing to advance the bipartisan Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act (H.R. 7024):

“The Senate’s failure to advance the bipartisan tax package was a missed opportunity to increase America’s economic competitiveness. The Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act would have restored three crucial provisions that drive U.S. manufacturing. This pro-growth legislation would have incentivized businesses to create new American jobs, spur U.S. innovation and increase investments into the U.S. economy. Hopefully, Congress can revisit consideration of these important policy matters in 2025.”
