FDI in the United States, Quarter Two 2022

Foreign direct investment in the United States totaled $72 billion in the second quarter 2022. Net equity flows were down by 24 percent to $19 billion in second-quarter 2022 from the previous quarter. Reinvestment of earnings, at $58 billion, accounted for 80 percent of FDIUS flows this past quarter.
