Siemens: Creating An Inclusive EV Charging Workforce

In a rapidly evolving technological landscape, the need for a skilled and adaptable workforce has never been more critical. Siemens, a global leader in technology and innovation headquartered in Germany, has embarked on a mission to prepare the American workforce for opportunities of the future.

Recently, the Siemens Foundation announced a $30 million investment for a 10-year workforce development initiative, EVeryone Charging Forwardto provide opportunities for individuals from underserved and underrepresented communities in the fast-changing EV charging sector. With this investment, Siemens is creating a diverse and inclusive workforce that will help modernize America’s infrastructure as we know it. 

“There is an incredible need for teams with a combination of skillsets in the EV charging space,” said Barbara Humpton, CEO of Siemens USA and Chair of the Board of Siemens Foundation. “Not only that, but these jobs also connect people to the important work of advancing our sustainable future. That’s what makes this initiative so impactful. As we electrify our infrastructure, we’re also working to build a more equitable workforce, expanding the opportunities available for people to pursue well-paying, purpose-driven careers.”
